The Coach's Room.

One place to see what you are working on, what you decided, and what you owe yourself before the next session. Sessions happen with Claude (the therapist skill); this room is the board between them. Homework ticked here is ticked in the Focus Room, and the other way round.

Start a session

Five ways in

Open any Claude session (the Focus window, the phone, dictation on a walk) and say the phrase. Claude reads this board first, then runs the mode. Every session ends with one piece of homework, a mood number, and one short lesson about the craft.

Feel better now

Twenty minutes to change the state, not the life. Body first: breath, cold water, a walk, naming the feeling, one tiny action. Mood before and after, out of ten.

session: feel better now

Work on a goal

Coaching proper. Pick one issue or goal, GROW it (goal, reality, options, way forward), leave with one homework and its first step done in the room.

session: goal

The past

Trauma-informed, phased: stabilise first, process only inside the window of tolerance, close with grounding. Claude will stop and point to a human when it should.

Teach me the craft

A short lesson on coaching or therapy, with the technique shown on one of your own issues, and a way to practise it on a friend this week.

session: teach me

Three voices

Bring one issue and hear how a coach, a therapist and a friend would each answer it. Then pick which voice you needed today.

Homework

One thing at a time, with its first step. Ticking it here writes one line to the master log and clears the card in the Focus Room.

When this room is not enough

Call a human when
  • the thought of death visits twice in one week (your own 2026-05 tripwire): tell one person the same day;
  • you are above an eight out of ten and nothing in "feel better now" moves it in twenty minutes;
  • the past mode opens something that does not close by the end of the session;
  • blood in the stool recurs, or the bipolar question needs a prescriber's eyes.

United States: call or text 988. Canada: 988. Germany: Telefonseelsorge 0800 111 0 111. Emergency: 911 / 112.

Standing professional flags (from the July review)
  • A psychiatrist for the bipolar question, with the whole substance list in one place.
  • A standing therapist in Germany, English-speaking, Marburg or Giessen orbit; the Freiberufler insurance covers the route in.
  • A doctor for the gut episode.
